Q: How long have you been with Frontline?
Stephanie: I’ve been singing at Frontline for over 10yrs.
Q: In that 10 years, what is the craziest thing you’ve seen from stage?
Stephanie: Not sure if this is “crazy” but on occasion an interesting looking person will stand right at the bottom of the stairs & just stare at me & the band. It can freak me out a little! They look like they’re going to rush the stage at any time! So now we have plain clothed body guards standing by at all times
Besides that, it’s usually too dark to see much of anything!! And I like that because if I see people not participating I get sad!
Q: What originally brought you to Frontline?
Stephanie: My parents started coming to MBC in ‘95 & I would visit Frontline when I would be home from college. I loved the music & how it was targeted to my generation. I started working for Frontline the week after I graduated from college & have been here ever since!
Q: What is your favorite song to perform?
Stephanie: Shout to the Lord. KIDDING!! I’ve been writing a lot of songs, but at this point I only perform them in my living room
Hopefully I’ll start playing them out soon!
My favorite worship song right now to do is Sweetly Broken. I’m trying not to wear it out, but I love it! The words are so powerful!
Q: What’s on your iPod?
Stephanie: I actually just got an iPod of my own (use to just steal Dan’s), so I’ve been listening to a lot of my old stuff since its at my fingertips…
My top listening at the moment (please don’t think less of me on some of these!!
Lifehouse’s newest cd, John Mayer, Tim Hughes, Boys like Girls, old school Cranberries, Mika, Avril, Mute Math, JT, Fleming & John, the Fray, Sleeping at Last – to name a few
Q: What is on your TiVo?
Stephanie: Well, its summer, so nothing!! But you ask me again in the fall & I’ll have an embarrassingly long list. I love shows!
Q: Best friend on the Frontline staff?
Stephanie: Are you trying to get me in trouble?? I’m not answering that!
They know who they are!
Q: MySpace or Facebook?
Stephanie: Both. I’m a dork!
Q: What are you reading?
Stephanie: I’m currently reading “we wish to inform you that tomorrow we will be killed with our families” by Philip Gourevitch. I’m getting ready for my trip to Rwanda!!
Q: Favorite restaurant?
Stephanie: Umm…Nobu. But we don’t have those here, so I guess the Great American restaurants -Sweetwater/ Carlyle / Coastal Flats.
Note: Be sure to check back tomorrow for Part 2 of Q&A with Stephanie Cuomo!
I’d like to think I one of your best friends although I’m no longer on staff.
Sweetly Broken, Mighty to Save, Inside Out, and Came to my rescue are my favorite worship songs. Sweetly Broken reminds me so much of the book of Romans, I love it!
I’d like to think I’m one of your best friends and your own personal photographer;) Lamo…Love ya!
